I.AM OPEN CALL of SUBMISSIONS

I.AM (Intergenerational Arts Movement) is seeking visual arts submissions for our third annual community arts festival “I.AM Enough”, taking place Thursday September 28- Sunday October 1, 2017.

This will be I.AM’s first open juried exhibition and is seeking submissions from individual artists and collectives working in a variety of disciplines including sculpture, site-specific installation, video, painting, drawing, photography and printmaking.

“I.AM ENOUGH” is a festival surrounding the notions of self worth and realizing your full potential. In a place bombarded by selfishness and wanting more we must remind one another to look within and to fully accept our current state of being. We are enough.

This community arts festival is in partnership with the City of Vaughan in celebration of Canada 150 and Culture Days. The festival is situated on a scenic 4-acre parcel of land, the MacDonald House, home of famed Canadian painter, J.E.H. MacDonald, a founding member of the Group of Seven and his son, illustrator Thoreau MacDonald.

Works that are not selected for the physical gallery space will be invited to participate in a published online booklet covering this year’s theme.

Applicants must read the I.AM submission guidelines and submit a completed submission package. The full guidelines, and application form can be found following the buttons and links below.

Deadline: Thursday September 14, 2017 (11:59 pm)

If you have any further questions about the submissions process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@intergenerationalarts.com .

**Content of work must be appropriate for all ages and free of offensive slogans, slurs or discrimination. The I.AM jury reserves the sole right to determine what is inappropriate work for the show.
